CCYDT green and life skills youth programme for 19-24 years in East London.

START AN AMAZING BRAND NEW CAREER , TRAIN, AND DEVELOP NEW SKILLS TO ENTER THE FUTURE FASTEST GROWING INDUSTRIES

Climate Change Youth Development Trust is running a green life skills youth programme from now until the end of July 2010 working with between 16 -20 unemployed young people (19-24 years). We will engage young people in learning, offering new learning opportunities and increasing knowledge and understanding to pursue education, training and employment opportunities in the future green and low carbon industries including green social enterprises.
We also wish to support and track young people after they complete the course through job searches, one to one support, IAG to enable participants to pursue pathways into education, training and employment within these industries.
The programme will cover an overview of sustainable development , impacts of climate change adaptation and the need for green industries to reduce c02 emissions, new learning opportunities and skills generated as a result of climate change mitigation and adaptation, knowledge & understanding how these industries work ,career advancement ,orientation and positioning, visits to green projects , like the Built environment, green social enterprises, recycling centres etc.
Opportunities exist for participants to get paid work employment with the CCYDT after the completion of the course.
